In addition to his academic background, he brings more than nine years of professional experience in quantitative analysis and data science to the classroom. His teaching emphasizes the practical application of analytical methods to address business challenges and the use of statistical modeling to enhance business performance and support data-driven decision-making.

Dr. Yang’s research interests focus on data analytics, statistical and mathematical modeling, and optimization. He has published more than 23 journal articles, one book, one book chapter, and 17 conference proceedings. His research has received more than 1,000 citations, reflecting the impact and recognition of his scholarly contributions.
