Husky Christian Counselors of Texas is a graduate student chapter of the Christian Counselors of Texas.
History
The Christian Counselors of Texas is a Christian non-profit organization whose purpose is to :
- Further the teachings and tenets of the Christian faith and, through Christian counseling, to support the activities of churches and/or agencies whose purposes are to further the Christian faith.
- Investigate and discuss the relationship between the Christian faith and the professional practice of counseling and to instruct and disseminate information regarding these practices.
- Incorporate the Christian faith into the educational preparation and practice of counseling.
- Foster harmony and unity among Christians in counseling and guidance professions regardless of denominational affiliation.
- Provide mutual spiritual support and to fellowship and worship together in the Christian faith to honor Christ the Savior.
Purpose
CCT and Husky CCT serve to:
- Further the teachings and tenets of the Christian faith and through Christian counseling to support the activities of churches and/or agencies whose purposes are to further the Christian faith.
- Investigate and discuss the relationship between the Christian faith and the professional practice of counseling and to instruct and disseminate information regarding these practices.

Membership
To become a member of Husky CCT, you must:
- Be actively enrolled in a graduate program of the Counseling Department.
- Agree to the Statement of Beliefs and Purposes of Husky CCT and CCT.
- Uphold the AACC Code of Ethics.
